United We Run 5K

RACE DETAILS 

Be part of history as one of the first runners to start and finish on home plate inside the new Wilson Ballpark, home of the Wilson Warbirds!

📍 PACKET PICKUP/ CHECK-IN 

You have 2 options:

• Friday, Oct. 23 | 5 –7 p.m.
  United Way of Wilson County, 219-A Barnes Street. Please park at Ruckus and Redemption Restaurant (220 Barnes St. S.) and walk over to the United Way.
• Race Day: Saturday, Oct. 24 | 6:45–7:45 a.m.
  Wilson Ballpark- Home of Wilson Warbirds (Left Field Main Entrance on Goldsboro St.)
  401 Goldsboro Street S., Wilson, NC 27893

Please arrive early enough to check in and get ready. The race starts promptly at 8 a.m.!

🚗 PARKING

Participants may park in the baseball parking lots or public parking areas associated with Warbirds games, preferably the Water Tower Lot (316 Tarboro St.) Please allow enough time to park and get to the starting area.

🗺️ THE COURSE

There will be a water stop at the corner of Connor and Branch Streets. Please follow course signs and volunteer directions and use caution at intersections.

🏆 MEDALS, TROPHIES & COSTUMES!

Every participant will receive a United We Run participation medal! We'll also have some fangtastic trophies for age-division winners:

• 🐺 Werewolf trophies for the men
• 🧙‍♀️ Witch trophies for the women
• 🎃 A special trophy for the best costume!

Bring your Halloween spirit and dress up if you'd like. We can't wait to see your costumes!

☕ FOOD, DRINKS & RACE DAY DETAILS

Stick around after the race and visit local vendors including Luna Bean, 300 Nash Nutrition, and other refreshments and community partners and sponsors. Ballpark restrooms will be open.

A few reminders:

• Wear comfortable running or walking shoes and dress for the weather.
• Dogs are NOT permitted on the course.
• Strollers are allowed at your own risk. Please use caution around uneven surfaces.
• Follow all course signs, volunteer directions, and safety instructions.

🎉 MAKE A DAY OF IT IN WILSON!

The fun doesn't stop at the finish line! Saturday is packed with downtown activities, so bring your family and friends and make a day of it.

• Seeds of Hope Day of the Dead Festival: Enjoy cultural activities, food, and entertainment at Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park.
• Boo! At the Ballpark: Come back to Wilson Ballpark for an evening of Halloween fun and watch Hocus Pocus under the stars.  Gates open at 5 p.m.
• Barton College Homecoming: Celebrate Homecoming Weekend with the Barton community and check out the day's campus activities.
